Dr. Xudong Wang is currently the John Wu and Jane Sun chair professor with the UM-SJTU Joint Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is the director of the Wireless Networking and Artificial Intelligence Lab. He is also an affiliate faculty member with the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Washington. His research interests include wireless communication networks: 5G and beyond, and smart connected systems, machine learning, and big data. Since he received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003, Dr. Wang has been working as a senior research engineer, senior network architect, and R&D manager in several companies. He has been actively involved in R&D, technology transfer, and commercialization of various wireless networking technologies. He holds a number of patents on wireless networking technologies and most of his inventions have been successfully transferred to products. Dr. Wang was an editor for IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, Elsevier Ad Hoc Networks, and China Communications. He was also a guest editor for several international journals. He was a general co-chair of 2017 IEEE 5G Summit in Shanghai and a TPC Co-Chair of the 32nd International Conference on Information Networking. He was the demo co-chair of the ACM International Symposium on Mobile Ad Hoc Networking and Computing (ACM MOBIHOC 2006), a technical program co-chair of Wireless Internet Conference (WICON) 2007, and a general co-chair of WICON 2008. Dr. Wang is an IEEE Fellow (Communications Society) and was a voting member of IEEE 802.11 and 802.15 Standard Committees. |

SHIEN-KUEI LIAW received the Ph.D. degree in photonics engineering from National Chiao-Tung University in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from National Taiwan University in 2014. He was a technical staff of the Changhua Telecommunication Corp, Taiwan, from 1993 to 1997. Since then, he has been working on optical communication, fibre sensing and fibre optic technologies. He was a Visiting Researcher with Bellcore (now Telcordia), USA, in 1996. He joined the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) in 2000 and now is a distinguished Professor. He was a Visiting Professor with the University of Oxford, U.K., in 2011 and the University of Cambridge, U.K., in 2018. He owned more than 40 Taiwan and U.S. patents. He has authored or co-authored more than 300 journal articles and international conference presentations. He has been actively contributing for many conferences as a Technical Program Chair, a Keynote Speaker and/or the Invited Speaker. He is a Senior Member of OPTICA and IEEE, and a fellow of SPIE. |

Pascal Lorenz received his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from the University of Nancy, France. Between 1990 and 1995 he was a research engineer at WorldFIP Europe and at Alcatel-Alsthom. He is a professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, since 1995. His research interests include QoS, wireless networks and high-speed networks. He is the author/co-author of 3 books, 3 patents and 200 international publications in refereed journals and conferences. He was Technical Editor of the IEEE Communications Magazine Editorial Board (2000-2006), IEEE Networks Magazine since 2015, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology since 2017, Chair of IEEE ComSoc France (2014-2020), Financial chair of IEEE France (2017-2022), Chair of Vertical Issues in Communication Systems Technical Committee Cluster (2008-2009), Chair of the Communications Systems Integration and Modeling Technical Committee (2003-2009), Chair of the Communications Software Technical Committee (2008-2010) and Chair of the Technical Committee on Information Infrastructure and Networking (2016-2017), Chair of IEEE/ComSoc Satellite and Space Communications Technical (2022-2023), IEEE R8 Finance Committee (2022-2023), IEEE R8 Conference Coordination Committee (2023). His research interests cover a broad range of signal processing, machine learning, and wireless communications, including but not limited to multi-antenna and cooperative communications, sparse and structured signal recovery, Bayesian approximate inference, network coding, etc. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed research papers in the leading international journals and conferences in the related areas. He has served on a number of technical programs for international conferences. He is an editor of the IEEE Transactions on Communications since 2017, and also an editor of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications since 2018. He was a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award of IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2014, and also a co-recipient of the Best Journal Paper Award of IEEE Technical Committee on Green Communications and Computing (TCGCC) 2017. |
